Time to catch up...

Well, now that wedding season is slowing down I finally have some time to catch up on my blog posts.

On August 15th Michelle and Jay celebrated a beautiful wedding at Deer Creek in Ajax.
This lovely couple decided to meet each other prior to the ceremony and it was a very lovely meeting indeed!
Everything was gorgeous and all of the details were a very clean, green and white.
The day was beautiful and hot, which this summer was a rarity indeed!

Here are some of my favorites from their day.

Neha and Jeremy are engaged!

Thursday evening was perhaps the only evening we haven't had rain, since my return from Italy three weeks ago! Luckily for us, Neha and Jeremy had scheduled an engagement shoot with me at Kelso conservation area.
Here is a little slideshow of the day:

Oh boy, did it rain!

I am sooooo very neglectful of this blog. It seems everytime I update it, I am so far behind. None the less some of my very sweet friends and colleagues informed me that they actually do read this...so I will proceed with my next entry.

On July 25th, 2009 Kelly and Fausto had a beautiful Brampton wedding ceremony.
This was a truly emotional day with all of the ups and downs of that a celebration of marriage brings.
Once the ceremony ended we decided to brave the rain, armed with some white umbrellas.
Unfortunately the rain beat down harder than before and despite our best efforts we had to move it inside. We did, however manage to get some stunning outdoor images, before we headed back to the reception hall.
Finally, we snuck outside after the rain had ended and some time during the receiving line and took some beautiful portraits right outside the venue.

Please enjoy some of the photos from this day:

Ravishing Rosehill Wedding!

Ok...I admit it. I am sooo behind in my blog posts. I offer no excuses, but simply my apolog
In an effort to you, I would like to devote a few minutes here to really share my next entry.

I thought I would share with you the gorgeous wedding that Lisa and I photographed on July 4th.

Beautiful weather has been a rarity this summer, so we were thrilled to have the sun shine and warmth on this glorious morning.

Fiona and Mitra, two very cool people I may add, had asked Lisa and me to photograph their wedding.

A stunning hotel room, at the Park Hyatt in Toronto, started our day with some great inspiration! We followed up at the Rosehill Lounge, where the staff were gracious enough to share their kitchen with us for a few photos of the groom. Now I know a kitchen, isn't a usual location for us to take groom portraits in, and no, the groom wasn't a chef...but we made him look like one for a few photos and we had a great time. I think the Kitchen was a great place to make Mitra feel a little more at ease and we got some super fun photos from it too!

The Rosehill remained our location for ther rest of the ceremony and reception which lending its gorgeous backdrop to the rest of our photos.

I would like to mention that we had the pleasure of working with once again with the awesome officiant Jeremy Citron from http://www.allyouneedislove.ca/

Fiona and Mitra also featured a photobooth at the wedding for their guests to enjoy, and I must say it looked like a gas!

Ok, so now that I splattered on for pages, here are some of the photos from this day:

Style. Defined.

Throughout our years in the wedding photography business, we, as artists, have been trying to define our style. We struggled with the question of what it was that set us apart from the others. (Truthfully, I always hated this question, because I was never really certain of how to answer it.)
I knew that we had talent. I knew that we loved our work. I knew that we thrived on creativity. But still, I wondered, what made us different? What was our style; defined?
Well six years later, I can honestly say that Jennifer Images has always been about timeless elegance.
The kind of elegance and grace that stays in style generation after generation. We are the essence of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Onassis and Grace Kelly in wedding photography.
We consistently produce truly elegant images that withstand the test of time.
If you share this same kind of vision for your wedding day, then please contact us right away!
"Because Classic Elegance Never Goes Out Of Style".

Bridal Advice

About a year ago, Alana and Jeff got married. Oh how we loved this wedding.
I asked Alana, if she would give any advice to the new brides-to-be who are planning their wedding day, and this is what she said: " If there is any advice I can give to a Bride or a Bride-to-be, it would be to not let anyone talk you into anything you feel really strongly against. I found that dealing with the all of the different vendors there may be some of them that try to change or “tweak” your vision to make it more convenient for them. Now don’t get me wrong, you should listen to them because they most likely have done hundreds of weddings and do know what they are talking about, but if it gives you a bad feeling – STAND YOUR GROUND!!! The worst thing would be to arrive at your wedding and being disappointed because you gave in to pressure from someone who knows nothing about you and your vision. Now, if things do go wrong during your wedding and there is something that is done incorrectly, just remember – you are probably the only one who will notice it. You are going to be so busy and having such a good time that in the end it won’t really matter. All that matters is that you are marrying your best friend, and you are surrounded by the ones who love you.

Alana"
Thank you Alana for helping the new ladies out. Love ya, girl.

Stefanie and Marco's Kelso engagement session

Stefanie wasn't very happy last Thursday evening when we had to reschedule her engagement session due to rain.
Unfortunately, when taking outdoor portraits, this is sometimes the best plan.
So, we rescheduled it for Monday.
Monday evening was gorgeous, and I'm sure that Stefanie is thrilled that we waited.
Here are some of the images we took at Kelso conservation area, here in Milton:

And a fun one!
