Style. Defined.

Throughout our years in the wedding photography business, we, as artists, have been trying to define our style. We struggled with the question of what it was that set us apart from the others. (Truthfully, I always hated this question, because I was never really certain of how to answer it.)
I knew that we had talent. I knew that we loved our work. I knew that we thrived on creativity. But still, I wondered, what made us different? What was our style; defined?
Well six years later, I can honestly say that Jennifer Images has always been about timeless elegance.
The kind of elegance and grace that stays in style generation after generation. We are the essence of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Onassis and Grace Kelly in wedding photography.
We consistently produce truly elegant images that withstand the test of time.
If you share this same kind of vision for your wedding day, then please contact us right away!

Bridal Advice

About a year ago, Alana and Jeff got married. Oh how we loved this wedding.
I asked Alana, if she would give any advice to the new brides-to-be who are planning their wedding day, and this is what she said: " If there is any advice I can give to a Bride or a Bride-to-be, it would be to not let anyone talk you into anything you feel really strongly against. I found that dealing with the all of the different vendors there may be some of them that try to change or “tweak” your vision to make it more convenient for them. Now don’t get me wrong, you should listen to them because they most likely have done hundreds of weddings and do know what they are talking about, but if it gives you a bad feeling – STAND YOUR GROUND!!! The worst thing would be to arrive at your wedding and being disappointed because you gave in to pressure from someone who knows nothing about you and your vision. Now, if things do go wrong during your wedding and there is something that is done incorrectly, just remember – you are probably the only one who will notice it. You are going to be so busy and having such a good time that in the end it won’t really matter. All that matters is that you are marrying your best friend, and you are surrounded by the ones who love you.

Alana"
Thank you Alana for helping the new ladies out. Love ya, girl.

Stefanie and Marco's Kelso engagement session

Stefanie wasn't very happy last Thursday evening when we had to reschedule her engagement session due to rain.
Unfortunately, when taking outdoor portraits, this is sometimes the best plan.
So, we rescheduled it for Monday.
Monday evening was gorgeous, and I'm sure that Stefanie is thrilled that we waited.
Here are some of the images we took at Kelso conservation area, here in Milton:

And a fun one!

Beautiful Eglinton Grand wedding in Toronto!

Tracy and Rob got married on May 23rd, 2009 at the gorgeous Eglinton Grand.

We started our morning at the Park Hyatt hotel downtown followed by the ceremony and reception at the Park Hyatt.
We had beautiful weather (finally) and the day went off without a hitch.
Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Crazy weather wedding!

On Sunday May 2nd, Crissa and Nik got married at the Old Mill and followed with a reception at Le Jardin in Vaughn.
The day started off absolutely beautiful with the sun shining and nice warm weather.
As the day progressed the weather changed dramatically with every passing minute!
Fortunately for Lisa and I, this bride and groom were adventurous and willing to do whatever it took to get some great photos.
We had a really fabulous time with these guys.
Being that we had photographed Nik's sisters wedding the year before, we really felt like a part of the family!
Congratulations also goes out to Amanda and Rick (Nik's sister and brother in law).
They are expecting their first baby, any time now!
Amanda..you look fabulous!

Same location...five minutes later!

Nine month old Lucas!

One of the best parts about my job, is getting to watch the children I photography grow up!

On Monday, Lucas and his mom and dad, came to the studio for his nine month portraits.
If you are an avid reader of my blog, you may remember Lucas' newborn shoot.

It was so amazing to see how this little man is growing, and I think he's absolutely adorable!
Here are some of my favorites from the session:

Amazing Old Mill wedding!

On April 4th 2009, Lisa and I photographed one of our favorite weddings ever!
Laura and Justin's Old Mill wedding!
I met Laura and Jusin, just about a year earlier, when Justin's dad contacted me regarding their wedding.
What was really unique about this wedding, was that Justin's mom and dad were actually married at the Old Mill many years earlier.
The senitments didn't end there. What also made this wedding so extraordinary was the amount of uninhibited love and emotion that it brought out in absolutely everyone.
To be honest, Lisa and I almost shed a tear or two, and that practically never happens. I usually am so focused on my work that I rarely even hear what's being said.
Anyway from the first time I photographed Laura and Justin's engagement photos until this very day, I knew that this couple had something truly special.
Please take a moment and look at some of their images from their wedding day.
I had a really hard time picking out my favorites so this may be a little picture heavy!
I love the one of Grandpa line dancing!

Janine and Billy's chilly Brampton wedding

While the limo ride, featured above was toasty warm, make no mistake, it was freezing cold on February 28th of this year!
Janine and Billy didn't feel it though. They were way too in love to let the cold bother them.
Here are some of their wedding memories:

Ok, the greenhouse was also pretty warm, but we did venture outside for a short while:

Here it is.... this is the brutal cold we shot in. I told you they didn't feel it!

Six month old, baby Ava!

On Sunday, beautiful little Ava came by to have her photo taken in the studio.
I've been fortunate enough to photograph Ava's mom twice now (boudoir and maternity) and now I finally got to meet this gorgeous little girl.
Here are a few from Sunday's session:

Lighting is everything!

I just wanted to share an example of why lighting is everything in photography.

I was preparing the studio today for my baby madness day tomorrow and thought I would take some photos of Cole to check the lighting.

In doing so, I decided to play around a little.
Here are two photos of Cole, both taken on a white background. Honestly! The lighting has changed but the background is exactly the same!

Sylvia and Chris' winter wedding.

Sylvia and Chris started their new lives as husband and wife on February 7th, 2009.
Their nuptuals were delivered by two pastors during their ceremony, one from each of their churches. I really have to say that it was a delight to see these churches come together for the wedding.

The Brampton church was almost like a theatrical stage, complete with it's own lighting!

The weather this day, was spectacular for a February wedding.
Plus seven degrees and though it was a little windy, we were really grateful!
Having said that, we did take full advantage of the Centennial greenhouse in Etobicoke.
The wedding was followed by a reception on Mississauga. I think we travelled all over the GTA on this day!
Here are some (probably too many) of the images from this day.
To see the complete set of my favorites in a slideshow, please follow this link and click on Sylvia and Chris.
