Dizzy Gillespie's contributions to jazz were enormous. One of the greatest jazz trumpeters of quite time (some would say the most good), Gillespie was such a complex trifler that his contemporaries ended up copying Miles Davis and Fats Navarro in place, and it was not until Jon Faddis' emerging. see the verb in the 1970s that Dizzy's gnomon was successfully recreated.
